Each driver experience level (novice, intermediate, advanced) will have workshop sessions available to them. The sessions within each level will get progressively more detailed as the weekend progresses. (Subject matter may also be discussions of the mechanical bits of your car or other topics as desired by the group and the workshop leader.) During the follow-on track session, your in-car instructor will have you practice that workshop theory to reinforce your learning. The bulk of workshop driving skills material is compiled in our driving school manual available on our chapter web site.
Experts from Bridgestone will be on hand during the weekend to discuss new tire technology and answer your questions. More details on Bridgestone's involvement will follow. Watch this space
Additionally, an ACC professional instructor from Team Stradale will provide a “Google Earth virtual track walk” to take students on a corner-by-corner examination of the details of the entire south track. This is a very special presentation which gives you a glimpse into the thoughts of how a professional racer analyzes and attacks the world in front of him!
The informative workshop sessions will be available throughout the weekend for all skill levels, but only the first session will have mandatory attendance, to maintain compliance with the BMWCCA national standards.
